My niece Lila turned two on Friday, and to celebrate, her mother Cara baked a purple, Kool-Aid flavored cake. After we ate the cake (which was delicious and tasted a little bit like a SweetTart), Lila was presented with more pink things and baby dolls and fairy wings and plastic pearls than she had ever seen her life. She even got a car. Most little girls have to wait until they are at least sixteen to get a car, but not Lila.
We love you, Lila. It's so special to have a little girl in the family.
