My parents have been married 35 years today. That's, like, a really, really long time. I made red velvet cupcakes (with sprinkles), because nothing says I love you and I am glad you got married and made my sisters and me quite like a cupcake. Can I get an amen?
My cupcakes turned out kind of messy, because I was out of baking cups. Also, I am not perfect.
Cara made pendant banners that tell the story of my parent's marriage (big moves, babies, etc.), and we stuck the banners in the cakes. That's what people do these days: stick pendant banners in cake. Didn't you know?
Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad! Love you lots and loads. (And I am glad you liked the somewhat messy cupcakes.)
That's such a cute idea cupcakes and banner and all. Congratualtions to your parents. Stories like that are an inspiration to me. I hope I make it to 35 years of marriage and even longer :)
