My nephews started school this week: Billy went to second grade and Isaac to kindergarten. Lila stayed home, but she wore a pink backpack, so she didn't feel too left out.
I called in the evening to hear about school, and here is what Billy said: "I had an excellent day. I had the most excellent day in the world. I did everything in the entire universe!"
I think that means school is okay in his book.
The Hurleys are coming to visit this weekend, and I fully expect to hear all about the most excellent school week in the whole, wide universe.

P.S. I probably blog too often about my nephews and niece, but whatever. They are cute, and they are fun. And I am not sorry at all.
P.P.S. Lizzie also wrote about the first day of school (or the second first day, as she more accurately describes it).

This is making me sad! Not because your nephews and niece aren't adorable (I especially love your niece's heart tights!) but I miss my own! We live much, much too far away now. You are lucky to live so close to yours!
ReplyDeleteAw, I didn't mean to make you sad! I'm sorry! I know it's tough to be far away. I didn't see them often at all for about 3 years (while they were living overseas)--we had lots of Skype video chats but it's just not the same--so I am really thankful for the time we have now. I am hoping they don't move again (at least not too far, anyway) for a good, long while!
DeleteHa! I love those tights too. I totally wish I could pull off that look. :)
Your niece and nephews are adorable! I have three nieces, and I tend to talk about them a lot, too. Until I have kids of my own, I have to obsess over cute little kids somewhere, right? kids are so refreshing.
ReplyDeleteI love your posts on your family! They're part of who you are. And that's what your blog is about isn't it - you?
ReplyDeleteThat is so adorable that Lila had to have a pink backpack just so she wouldn't be left out.
So Isaac had nothing to say about Kindergarten, huh? Pretty big change if you ask me :)
