I visited my parents this weekend and found a vintage music box in my old room, along with some other small gifts from my mom (who is a pro at thrift store and flea market shopping). The ballerina's technique isn't perfect--I'm not sure why she has a hand on her shoulder--but my technique isn't perfect, either. So, we can relate. Besides, she has no feet. I guess I can cut her a break.
P.S. The music box was originally a gift to Lessly from Christy Marie Hicks. How sweet is that?

P.P.S. I want that hat. Christy Marie Hicks knew style when she saw it.
I used to have a music box JUST like this! How fun!
ReplyDeleteI did too!! I remember how much of a big girl I felt like when I got that box. *sigh* I can't wait to get one for my big girl!
ReplyDeleteI had one of these as a kid too!! But it totally backfired as a birthday present because the song it played made me cry... I was a weirdly unpredictable child.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteLove finding treasures at home!! Your blog is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love music boxes! They are related to so many childhood memories...I will make sure to look around when I visit my parents next time.
ReplyDeleteThanks Hannah and have a lovely day!
I TOTALLY had one of those... it played the nutcracker and I loved it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I had one of those growing up. I wonder whatever happened to it...
ReplyDeleteI had a music box just like this when I was little! It must still be at my parents' house somewhere... Memories :)
ReplyDeleteI have a jewelry box like that at my parents house. You wind it up and she dances to the music! :) Too fun!
