By the way, here's a fun tip: I like my cookies warm and fresh, so instead of baking all the dough at once, I made a dozen cookies or so, then stored the leftover dough in the fridge. I baked about four cookies daily for almost a week and a half. That way, Damian and I didn't make ourselves sick by trying to eat as many cookies as possible while they were still warm. Instead, we had fresh cookies every day, which was pretty delightful.
We finally finished the dough yesterday. I think it's time for another batch. :)

YUM, I need to make these! I love saving my cookie dough, too. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteThe freezing and baking a little at a time is a great idea! We have a lot of stuff that goes to waste with just two of us... I know... hands head in shame. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe that got me a lot of fans in college :) The secret in mine is to use half butter and half butter-flavored Crisco. The Crisco makes them softer than using only butter, but you still get the delicious taste of the butter instead of just Crisco flavoring.
ReplyDeleteAnd now you know all my secrets!
I've totally been baking a batch of cookies everyday for the last 3 days, it's so nice to have fresh cookies. Mine though has been to fill my cookie jar, I bought it in July and I'm just now getting around to filling it.
ReplyDeleteYUM!!!! My hubby is obsessed with chocolate chip cookies!!
ReplyDeleteI noticed you are another lovely blogger with HH initials!! We should start a club... Heather Holden, Heather Hawthorne, Hannah Holmes... there has to be more! hehe.

Need to try these cookies - I love cookies! And I will remember your idea!
ReplyDeleteMmm they look SO good!
ReplyDeleteWe do the same thing with our cookie dough! I love doing it that way!
Yum. Those look delicious!
ReplyDeleteThat recipe is pretty similar to my own, except that I prefer milk chocolate and I use kosher salt.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm going to be thinking about cookies all day. It's going to be a long shift.
I love cookies especially chocolate chip. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteOR you could just eat the cookie dough daily, as I do. I just finished the package I bought...and never cooked a single cookie.
